Hello my friends, happy Friday and happy Spring!
It feels strange to me to think that it is already Spring, since we are in a Winter wonderland here and it looks like we are still in the middle of what feels like the longest Winter ever in New England (I feel like we say the same thing every year though, right?) We had a snowstorm on Wednesday night and Thursday morning, but luckily it looks like we didn`t get as much snow as they expected.
Everyone feels like it is time for warmer weather, flowers, flowy dresses and birds chirping happily, so I decided to write a post about Spring dresses that would be perfect for Easter, but also any occasion when the weather is nice and warm.
I don`t own the dresses you will see below, but in some cases I own similar styles. I picked dresses that caught my eye for their colors (and you know which is the color that usually gets my attention first!!), materials, patterns or shapes, because I know which shapes work for my body and which don`t! So, let`s get started:
1-BLUE LACE DRESS (TARGET $ 24.99):
I saw this dress online and I think it is very cute. I love the lace, the embroidery and the color, even though it is not pink! I think it is dressy but not too much, so you could easily dress it up or down according to where you are going. I wouldn`t pair it with sneakers as the model in the picture, just because it is not my style, but I would wear nude pumps if you want to make it dressy, or ballet flats or sandals if you want something more casual. The best thing is that Target is having a bogo sale on dresses, so I would suggest to take a look!
2-RED DRESSES (H&M)
Red is another favorite color of mine, so I got very excited when I saw these dresses on the H&M website. I love the A shape, I think it is very flattering and I own many dresses in that shape because they don`t show the `mommy belly`! I also love bell sleeves, they are a little detail that makes this simple dress so feminine and different from the regular little black dress. I own a very similar dress to this in black and I always wear it a lot, it is my go to when I don`t know how to get dressed. I would pair this dress with nude pumps again if you like to wear heels, if not you could do ballet flats, I think it would look very cute. If it is too cold where you live, you could also wear a pair of dressy booties. The best part is that this dress is on sale for 20 dollars!!
This second dress caught my eye because it is a little longer and flowy and because it is red. I love the sleeve bow details. It is a little less dressy then the one above, it reminds me of Spring in the countryside or Summer on the beach, so I wouldn`t wear it with heels, but I think it would be perfect for Spring with flats and for Summer with wedges or sandals.
3-JUMPSUIT (NORDSTROM $ 94.80)
I know that jumpsuit are becoming very popular, so when I saw this one I thought that it would be a cute idea for Easter if you don`t want to wear a dress, but you want to feel put together without having to think about a pant, a top and a sweater. I think that this jumpsuit is very classy and feminine, I like the fact that it doesn`t have sleeves (if it is cold you could always wear a lightweight sweater) and it has pockets (I love them!!). I feel like you should wear heels with it, but if you don`t want to, you could always do a pair of dressy flats. It would be very nice in summer too with a chunky light necklace or big earrings (I can`t wait for Summer to come!!).
4-PINK LACE DRESS (NORDSTROM $ 128.00)
Well, you know why I love this dress: pink and lace! I also like it because, like the red one with bell sleeves above it has the A shape that I love so much. This is another dressier suggestion, so you could use it if you have to be dressed up, but you could also use it in Spring and Summer for events or date nights, it is so cute.
5-YELLOW FLORAL DRESS (NORDSTROM)
I love the fact that this dress is yellow with a floral print, it would be so perfect for Spring and Summer! This dress is not too dressy, but I think that it would be very easy to dress it up or down according to the occasion. I feel like it could be an everyday dress too in Summer if you wear it with flat sandals or flip flops.
If you don`t like the flower pattern but like the yellow color, I found this dress, which comes in other colors too, it is less dressy, but would be perfect for Summer:
