Good morning friends and happy Friday!
I hope that you had an amazing week and that you are getting ready for the weekend.
Last week was very busy and fun for us, we had some guests, that came over from St. Louis and my in laws who are visiting from Italy.

On Saturday we took a wonderful tour of Boston, the weather was very nice, we walked a lot and saw so many amazing things: the Italian neighborhood, street performers who included Aurora and my husband in the show, we had lunch in the park and watched a small part of a performance from Shakespeare there (the kids were very interested and did not want to leave!!). The kids walked all the time and did not complain much, we were very proud of them! We love the fact that at this age (7 and a half and almost 5) the kids can walk when we go around, so we don`t have to bring a stroller with us every time we leave our house.

On Sunday we visited an open market in Boston (called SOWA) and had lunch from the food trucks that were parked in a designated area. There was even live music and the kids danced and played a lot. We are planning more fun activities for this weekend too, which will be the last one that the kids spend with their grandparents, who will leave on Sunday night.

Next week I will have the three kids home and since I will not have the help of our babysitter, I have been thinking of some fun kid friendly activities to do with them. So I thought that today I would show you our favorite toys that we use outside, which are perfect for these Summer days!
Let`s get started:

My kids got this pool from their grandparents not long ago and they have been playing nonstop with it! Even if the water is pretty shallow inside, they like to jump up and down and pretend to dive! Their favorite game is to have someone throw their goggles in the pool and they will look for them underwater. My father in law secured our kids slide on one side of the pool, so the kids even have a water slide!
- WATER SLIDE (WALMART $ 33.54):

We got this at the beginning of the Summer for Aurora`s end of the school party. The kids are loving it: it is like a giant water mattress and the kids can slide on it. The only thing is that it takes a while to fill with water, so you have to plan to get it ready 30 minutes before the beginning of the party or the time when your kids are going to use it!

My boys got this as a present and they love it! We actually have it in the basement right now, so if you have the space, it could be a game that your kids could use in Winter too. The pieces are really big and it is very funny!
- EXPLORER KIT
The boys received these kits a couple days ago and they love them so much that they always walk around with their binoculars! They got a backpack each filled with a binocular, a magnifying glass and a headlamp flashlight. Their favorite thing to do is to go outside and look through the binocular, or to find dead insects and observe them through the magnifying glass. I think this could be a great idea for a birthday or Christmas present for a boy or girl (my daughter loves the binoculars too and the is seven and a half!).

This is another present that my daughter got at the beginning of Summer. We haven`t used it yet, but I think it could be a great activity to do outside (to keep the house clean!) with the kids. I am thinking about buying a white tank or t shirt for each kid and trying to color them together next week! We will see if it turns out to be a great idea or a disaster!
And this is it, I think these could be great Summer activity ideas for kids, but also ideas if you have to get a present for a kid and you have no clue about what to buy!
I hope you have a fun weekend and I will meet you here next Friday!
Anna
