Good morning friends,
Happy Friday!
How are you? I hope you are hanging in there and keeping your sanity!
In the past few weeks had some good days and some bad ones, but my husband and I are trying to helping each other entertaining the kids and working/playing with them. This week we tried to stick to a stricter schedule, because one of our kids does much better when he knows exactly what to do and what is going to happen and it looks like it went a little better than the week before, so we keep our fingers crossed and hope that it will work! I will prepare a post with a collection of all the activities that we did at home and outside and all the activities that I am planning on doing, so please be patient, it will come soon and hopefully it will help you with some ideas!

I am noticing that even though we are at home and it looks like we have more time, the hours and days are passing very quickly and I just realized that Easter is coming… soon!!
So today I wanted to give you some ideas about Easter baskets. Hopefully you will find the goodies and you will be able to get them on time through Amazon!
I am not sure about what we are going to do on Easter day, but we usually wake up and the kids will find their Easter baskets on the kitchen table, then we will have a brunch together and we will do a big Easter egg hunt in the yard (if it doesn`t rain!).
Regarding the baskets: I fill them with candies (mainly chocolate), books, some things that the kids might need and then one present for everyone. So here is what I got my kids this year:
CANDIES:
I always get the kids the Lindt bunnies, I love them because I find them very cute, but I also love the chocolate (I will steal some pieces from the kids!). I also bought myself a Ferrero Rocher squirrel, which is made of milk chocolate and hazelnut, it is amazing (I tried it last year!). I also got them some Reese`s eggs, m&m`s eggs, robin eggs.
BOOKS:
I had some books at home for the boys, because I got them at a tag sale for twin moms, where moms sell gently used clothes and books. I always buy a lot of books and then give them to the kids in different occasions throughout the year (Christmas, birthdays, tooth fairy, Easter). So this year they won`t be Easter themed, but I am sure that they will like them, for example I have a Curious George book for Alessandro and I know he will love it!
For Aurora I got a book that she really wanted, I think it is a little too long for her, but she has to read at least 30 minutes every day, so I will have her read it to me.
SOCKS:
As I wrote, I usually try to get the kids something that they need, so this year I found some food themed socks on Amazon and I found them adorable
BOARD GAMES:
This year, since we will be quarantined for a while, we will have time to play, so I decided to get the kids a board game. The one I got might be for young children, so I am looking at other games too.

SCAVENGER HUNT:
I got a scavenger hunt for the kids on Amazon and they loved playing with it outside. I like it because it is not too easy, it makes them think and they can play inside the house or outside.

There are many different kinds of scavenger hunts online too, you can find some nice printables on Pinterest, here is an example: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/13792342582862325/
If you are looking for other ideas, last year I got the kids an air popcorn popper, they loved it and we frequently use it! You could also get them a bathing suit for the Summer, or Spring clothes and shoes that they might need. I always get them some sidewalk chalk (I haven`t been lucky this year and can`t find it anywhere online) and bubbles, which are always a big hit! Another nice idea would be a scooter, or a skateboard, or a jump rope.
I hope you found this post helpful and got some ideas for your Easter basket.
I will meet you here next week with a new post. Have a great weekend,
Anna
