I hope you had a nice week and that you are planning your weekend. We don`t know what we are going to do yet, but we will enjoy the sun if the weather is nice.
Today I wanted to talk a little about my kids` Summer favorites so far. My kids have different interests: Aurora likes to read, draw, paint, she likes to play with her Barbies and to dress up. Leonardo likes to run and play sports but he also likes to read, Alessandro likes to go around in the yard and look for bugs, he likes puzzles and books too. The three of them like to play in the yard with the trampoline, on the swing, on the amaca, with water toys. They like to get wet in the yard, especially with the sprinklers and water balloons. A part from these activities there are some toys that they are loving at the beach and at home:
1-WATER BALLOONS WITH EASY QUICK FILL (AMAZON, $ 19.99):
They just discovered these amazing water balloons at a friend`s house and since then they asked me to get them. I finally caved and bought some at CVS and on Sunday afternoon we had fun playing with them and getting wet. Platone got a little wet too! These balloons are amazing because they fill with water all at the same time: very fast and convenient! The only drawback is that the yard will be full of little balloon pieces after the games. But I asked the kids to help me clean up and they did (a little, but they did!).
2-MELISSA AND DOUG PAIL AND MOLD SET (AMAZON, $ 11.99):
I just got this for my kids on Amazon because the last time we went to the beach I realized that the boys like to use sand molds, but the ones we had were too small for them. This set is very nice because it lets the kids make pretend ice-cream with sand, so funny! As soon as the boys and Aurora saw it, they started playing with it, without sand at home!
3-FLAMINGO INFLATABLE (AMAZON, $ 29.99):
We got this amazing inflatable during our last trip to Punta Cana in November. Aurora loved it there and she could not wait to take it with her to the beach. Unfortunately she wasn`t allowed to take it into the ocean, but we found out that it is very comfy if used as a beach chair!!
4-PLASTIC TRUCK (AMAZON, $ 13.64):
I got a big plastic truck at a yard sale for my boys for very cheap and I didn`t imagine it would be such a hit. Leonardo played with it when we went to the beach for more than 30 minutes, filling it with sand and dumping it not too far away! Sometimes with kids I am amazed by how the most simple toys are the ones that they like the most!
5-BODY BOARD (AMAZON, $ 25.58):
We don`t own this item, but Aurora has been telling us that she really wants to try it. I think we will get it for next time we go to the beach so all the kids will have the opportunity to try it. I have a feeling that the boys will be more excited to use it than Aurora! I saw yesterday a cheaper version of it at The Christmas tree shop, so it is worth a try! I will let you know what we think about it.
