Good morning my friends and Happy Friday!!
I hope you are having a nice week so far and the weekend is almost here, yay! Once again, I am sorry for not being able to post regularly on my blog in these weeks, but as I already told you in my last blog post, something unexpected is happening every day and it prevents me from writing. I know, I should be a better planner and write many posts in advance, so I have them ready for tough moments, but I am not there yet, so please bear with me…

A little update regarding our family and what has been happening lately: Aurora had mono, it was so tough poor little girl! I noticed that she was very tired, but I thought it was her allergy getting worse (I also found out that I wasn`t giving her the correct dose of antistamine, so I increased the dose!). When I finally took her to the doctor, we found out that it was mono and after three days of very bad sore throat and feeling miserable, she starting feeling better. She is in school now and she resumed all of her activities! Alessandro got sick at the end of last week (just in time for the weekend, of course!), I really thought that he caught mono too, since it is very contagious, but apparently it wasn`t. After four days of very high fever he was feeling better and he is back to school too! And last but not least, Platone ended up having surgery on his back. The situation got better two weeks ago when I wrote my last post, but then over the weekend he got so bad that he could barely walk, so we took him to the hospital and he had surgery last Monday. Last Wednesday he was home and now he is getting better every day. Actually after one or two days feeling very tired, he was back to his old crazy self, he is trying to run and play already, so I have to constantly try to keep him quiet with the help of some medications! The remaining members of the family are doing well as for now, hopefully the worse is gone, but you never know, right!
So after being busy taking care of kids and Platone, now I am trying to work, keep the house tidy and organize some events that we are hosting and attending in June. (I am still trying to declutter and organize my closet, but it looks like it will be a looong process: most of my Summer clothes are still laying on the floor and if you know me, you must know how annoyed I am! But I will get there!!).
Now, let`s get back to the reason why I am writing today and let me tell you what the favorites of these past weeks have been:
THE RESIDENT:

I don`t think I have talked to you about this tv series, but it is a new one and it is among my favorites. I don`t know why, but it looks like I have a thing for tv series involving doctors and hospitals. It might be because one of the absolute first tv series I started watching was ER (loved it!). I am also still watching Greys anatomy (still going strong on its 12th season, amazing!), Chicago med and now I added The resident to my list. I like this series because it is part medical stuff and part action/mystery. I really recommend it, I just watched the last episode of the first season and I really hope there will be a second one. For all the fans of Gilmore Girls, the main actor is the guy who played Logan. I wasn`t crazy about him back then, but I have to say, he is good playing the rebel doctor in the The Resident.
CELLULITE REMOVER MASSAGER (AMAZON, $ 5.33):
Ok, let`s get real: we all have cellulite, or at least most of us do. So I decided to give this little tool a try, since I found it on Amazon and it was very inexpensive. I can`t say if it is working or not yet, because I have only been using it for a week or so, but I have to say that I like to take a little time in the shower and give myself a little massage, hoping that the miracle will happen! I will keep you posted and of course, I don`t expect this tool to be able to erase cellulite, but I am thinking that it might help reducing the effects of it on my thighs.
SOL DE JANEIRO BUM BUM CREAM (AMAZON $ 45.00):
This product is part of my battle against cellulite and preparation for Summer, it should hydrate and tone and goes hand in hand with the product I just talked about. I got it a week ago, so I can`t tell if it really works, but I have to say, the smell is amazing, it smells like vanilla and Summer according to me, it is very persistent too, so if you are particularly sensitive to smells I wouldn`t recommend it, but I have to say that very strong smells usually bother me and this doesn`t! I loved it from the first time I smelled and tried it because it is very hydrating too. I use it every morning on the areas of my body that need toning and at night I notice that my skin is still very soft and hydrated. I know it is quite expensive, but I would suggest it if you want to treat yourself to something nice!
PETER THOMAS ROTH MASK SET (SEPHORA OR AMAZON $ 25.00):
I recently got these masks as a birthday present from my Italian best friends, who know how much I love masks! I didn`t have time to test them all and for a long time, but I can already tell that I like them, especially a couple! I love the pumpkin peeling mas (orange one) and the gold one. They leave my skin so soft and don`t irritate it, which sometimes happens to me with peeling masks, so I would definitely recommend them, especially because they are travel size, so 1- you can try many of them and pick your favorite and if you are a mask lover like me, I am sure you like to try different masks and 2- they are perfect for travel and who doesn`t need a mask after a long day away from home?
STRAW BEACH TOTE BAG:
This is not something that I own and love, but it is something that I really would like to get for this Summer. We are actually not going anywhere, we will spend the Summer here and maybe make some day trips to the beach in Boston, but still, I will need a beach bag right? There are so many around that it is difficult to choose, but I found some inexpensive options that I really like.
This is it for today, I hope you enjoyed spending some time with me and having a little update on my family!
I hope that I will be able to write soon, but in the meantime I hope you have a great sunny weekend (it looks like we will have a cold, rainy one here in New England L).
Anna
