Good morning friends,
Happy Friday! How did your week go? We are almost done and soon the weekend will be here! This week flew by, probably because I had my little boy a home for the first two days, so I wasn`t able to do much of what I planned. Now he is feeling better and on Wednesday he was happy and ready to go back to daycare!
I also just realized that we are almost in the middle of April, how could it happen? April is my favorite month of the year, first of all because it is my birthday month, actually it is many people birthday month: my dad`s, my nephews Dario and Lorenzo, some friends… I also like this month because the warm weather is usually here (not this year though!) and I love to see flowers blooming around and being able to spend more time outside after the long, long winter! This year though the beginning of April slipped away, I didn`t realize it, so I committed to enjoying every day of this beautiful month from now on!!
This week I don`t have many new favorites to talk about, but I was thinking about listing some pieces of clothing that are in my wish list, let me know if you like this idea. Now let`s get started:
1-GINGHAM DRESS:
I saw this dress on the Instagram stories of a lady that I follow and immediately loved it. I don`t own it, so I am not sure if it would look good on me, but I love the shape, the fact that it doesn`t have straps, the bow on the front and the gingham print, I find it so nice and easy, it makes me think of a pic nic in the park or of a walk near the beach… I see it more fore a casual look with flats or sandals, but I think it could be also a little dressier with a nice pair of high heels, even with a pop of color, like pink or red sandals!
2-FLORAL SKIRT:
I saw this skirt again when an Instagrammer was making a try on session, so I am not sure if I would like it on me, but it has all the characteristics that I like in a skirt: I like the thicker fabric, the floral design, the shape, the yellow (which is strange because I don`t love the color yellow, but I started liking it more and more in the last couple years!), the length, even if it could be a little tricky because it means that this skirt has to be worn with heels, otherwise I think it might make you look short! I would wear this skirt with a very basic black t-shirt, since so much is going on with those big flowers and I would wear a pair of black high heels sandals or even brown wedges.
3-OVERALLS:
I am seeing overalls so much around that I am debating if trying and getting one for me, but this means that I should start trying them on and it could be a long process! So in the meantime I think that I would like a short overalls better, because it is easier and it would be easier to find a good fit for me. I saw two overalls around and I will be trying them on soon, I just want to check that they are not too short and too baggy.
4-T SHIRTS:
I am always looking for cute, easy t shirts that are not too tight and too short! This year I saw a camo one with ruffle sleeves (I never liked camo, but I am starting to appreciate it lately, so I might give it a try this year), very cute, I love ruffles! And I saw another from Urban Outfitters with a peplum shape which if it is done well (so if it is not too short) I think it would be very useful to cover the mommy belly! The only thing that I don`t love of these two t shirts is the material: they contain a lot of polyester and I usually try to stay away from it, but I think I will give them a try because I find them feminine, but a little different from the basic white or black tee.
5-PAJAMA SET:
I am always looking for new pajamas, my goal is to have comfortable, beautiful, good quality and not too expensive ones. Is it impossible? I find it quite difficult, but I don`t think it is impossible, because I just found a couple pieces that are really cute. For the summer I want to give a try to pajamas with a buttoned top, I think they look very classy and chic, I`ll just have to test them and see if they are comfortable too! After a quick search online I found a couple that caught my eye and are not polyester. I found them in different price point and I am pretty impressed.
Ok, this is it for today, I will keep adding items to my wish list and let you know my new picks next week.
