Can you believe it is Friday again?!

I hope you had a nice week. I did, even though I have been adjusting to the old routine without my parents. It doesn`t seem like much, but changing schedule is a little hard on me (and the kids too), it takes time to adjust, especially when the grandparents are gone and we have to go back to relying just on ourselves and our babysitter!

As promised, today I am going to talk a little about Aurora`s birthday party, which we hosted at our house two weekends ago.

Happy Friday, happy 2020 and welcome back to my blog!

I know, I have been absent for a while and I recall stopping writing last year too around the same time, apparently Fall and the Christmas holidays are very busy for me and I get caught up in my everyday life too easily!

I am glad to be back and to be able to write again and I am ready to share with you all of my activities, newly found products, recipes…

I hope you had a good start of the new year and wonderful holidays. We had my parents visiting from Italy for about a month, they are still here, but they will be leaving soon. We had the chance to do some activities with them, eat a lot of traditional Italian food and spend some time at home together and with friends.

Happy Friday! I am very happy that the weekend is so close and next week we will have Monday off too, which is always nice.

I am sorry I did not post last week, but it has been an eventful week, many things to do and I was still trying to figure out our schedules with school, events, sports. The kids were very active, we were (and we still are now) dealing with some tantrums, fighting, crying, it looks like the energy is so much that they can`t manage it, but I am sure this is something that every family has to deal with, especially in this time of the year, when the school started, but I feel like we are still adjusting and the holidays (Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas) are approaching.

It is almost October, can you believe it? As my kids would say, it will be Halloween very soon… They have been thinking about Halloween since August!

I hope you had a great week and that you are getting excited for the weekend. We had a very nice weekend last week: on Saturday we picked up my husband from the airport because he had been away for a week, then we went to Boston and walked around because the weather was beautiful and Summer-warm! On Sunday I wanted to go to the beach really badly, but I decided not to, because I couldn`t stand thinking about the `sand cleaning` part of the day at my house: the process of getting rid of all the sand from the floor, laundry counters and beds is so time consuming and it drives me crazy, so I decided to spare myself this time! So on Sunday we went apple picking for the first time this season, we loved it and we even tried to go in a maze, we had a lot of fun and the kids enjoyed finding the right apples and trying them, now I have some baking to do with them.

Are you happy that the weekend is almost here? I am and I am especially excited because this weekend is supposed to be very warm, I mean, Summer warm and I cannot wait! We don`t have any plans yet, but we will spend as much time as we can outside playing and maybe apple picking. I am not one of those persons who can`t wait for Fall to come, who gets excited when the temperatures drop. I guess that it is because Winter is so long here in Massachusetts, that I would like Summer to last as long as possible!

How are you? I hope you had a great week. It is Friday, can you believe it? The weekend is almost here!

I don`t know about you, but yesterday as I was writing down on my calendar all of my appointments for the next months, I noticed that as the school started, the calendar is getting busier and busier: activities, birthday parties, doctors appointments, dentists… I am not complaining, I just need a minute to get adjusted to the new crazy schedule!
