Good morning my friends, happy Friday!
How did your week go, was it tough? I felt like Tuesday was harder than a regular Monday, but I think it was because of the long weekend and I was particularly tired! The kids were tired too and Leonardo kept asking me every morning if he had to go to school or if he could stay at home and play (as if he wasn`t playing at school!!). Now we almost reached the weekend and we are all happier, we will spend it fixing our porch, deck and playground. We have some parties planned at our house in the next few weeks and we want everything to look nice and ready for Summer.
I have been waiting the warm weather for so long that now I am enjoying all of it, I LOVE warm weather and Summer and I can`t wait to be able to wear nice, lightweight dresses. This is why I thought about showing you some of my favorite dresses that I saw online lately, they are easy, not too fancy dresses that can be worn every day and which I think will not be too tight in the belly area, because let`s be honest, as moms, we want to be comfortable in our day to day life!! I don`t own any of them, but I may have ordered one: I was waiting for it to go on sale and when it finally went, even though still a little pricey, it didn`t come in my size. But today, while checking again, I saw that my size was available, so I scooped it up, hoping that it will fit… want to see it? Let`s start:
– FLORAL PRINT LINEN TUNIC (ZARA, $ 69.90):
This dress immediately caught my eye, first of all (and I think all of you got that) it is pink and then I love the print and the sleeve details, well, I love ruffles! The only thing I am not sure about is the belt, I am not sure if it is going to draw too much attention to the belly area, but you never know, it doesn`t look too tight, so I think it might be ok!
-EMBROIDERED GINGHAM DRESS (ZARA $ 45.90):
Well, other than pink, lace and ruffles, I LOVE gingham print! It is one of my favorite, especially for Summer. I love this dress because of its shape, the print of course and the small flower embroidery. I find it very cute and it looks very lightweight. I would wear it when it is very hot or at the beach as a cover up, since it looks pretty short. A little trick when you wear very short dresses but you want to be able to play with your kids, is to wear a pair of shorts underneath, so you don`t have to worry too much!
-WOMEN`S BUTTON FRONT RUFFLE DRESS (TARGET $ 24.99):
I saw this dress on an instagrammer while she was doing a Target try on session, then I forgot about it and just saw it again online and I think it is very cute. First of all the color (I love red too, you know?!), then the ruffles and the buttons…. It looks very nice and lightweight, ideal for Summer. And the price is amazing! I would wear this dress either with wedges or flat sandals, but not in black as in the picture above, I would choose a nude or brown color. This dress belongs to the new Target line (Universal thread) and I saw that they are coming out with many cute things, I have to check them out because I haven`t tried anything on yet.
-1901 BOW FRONT STRAPLESS MIDI DRESS (NORDSTROM, $ 80.00):
This is it, the dress that I was waiting for. Gingham print again. I love everything about this dress: the print, the bow in the front, the shape with the big skirt, the length. I think it can be dressed up or down and would be perfect for a dinner out or a barbecue. I will try it on when I get it and I will let you know how it fits and if I decide to keep it, ok? Oh, and this dress comes in hot pink too! I think it is very pretty, much dressier than the gingham one, but a little too much, even for a pink lover like me!
-KINT MAXI DRESS ( NORDSTROM $ 38.00):
I don`t know why, but I usually don`t buy long dresses. I think it is because I don`t feel like they are flattering on me, but this one seems very comfy and easy, especially in those days when it is not too hot, but you don`t want to wear pants. This dress too would be very easy to dress up with wedges and a nice necklace, or down with flip flops and a jean jacket on top for the evening. It came in a beautiful floral black and white print, but I think it is sold out. It also comes in other prints and a bunch of nice colors.
Ok guys, this is it, let me know what you think, maybe I just reminded you of an old flowy, floral dress that you have in your closet and you forgot about but which would be perfect for Summer!
